Loss Run Desk
Commercial insurance submissions arrive as loss runs: hundreds of carrier-specific PDF layouts, most of them scanned tables, all of them re-keyed by hand by someone whose actual job is underwriting.
A Rust intake pipeline with per-carrier parsers, rendering through pdfium and typing every date and amount at the boundary rather than downstream. No external crate call is written from memory — each signature is checked against rustdoc for the exact version the lockfile resolves.
A submission's loss history becomes structured data carrying its carrier, layout and confidence, so an underwriter reviews the exceptions the parser flags instead of transcribing the pages it already read.
